ASICS launched ASICS Growth Plan (AGP) 2020, a medium-term management strategy to further expand globally, in January 2016. We believe that in order to remain a trustworthy and attractive brand to our customers, ASICS will have to shift all processes––everything from product planning through sales––to a Direct To Consumer (DTC, an all-inclusive term for eCommerce by direct retail outlets and own management) format. This will allow communication directly with customers. ASICS will continue to create innovative products and services that offer new value for our customers even while responding swiftly to sudden changes in the market.

In 2016, we worked to solidify ASICS’s foundations––organizational reform and systems and personnel development––in order to build the bases for future growth. The years 2017 through 2020 will be years to make headway. ASICS will focus on the digital field, including by developing new applications and E commerce platforms, to introduce new product categories that target younger customers globally. And as always, ASICS will continue to respond to rapid changes in society and keep looking ahead.
